Hijabs/Scarves For Less!

Hello and Salaams ladies!

Today I thought that I’d bring to you a short post about hijabs/scarves that I had purchased last month from Hijab Girl. I used to order from here often in the past and thought that I would give it a go again.

If you don’t know what a “hijab” is, it is a head covering that practicing Muslim women wear. But if you are not Muslim or don’t wear hijab, you can still order from this site regardless.

The scarves are shipped from Amman, Jordan and are shipped through DHL. Now, back in the day I used to get these scarves in the mail. I’m not sure why it has changed. Maybe it’s just something that depends on where you are.

They also have more than scarves to pick from. They have hijab pins (holds the scarf in place), underscarves (keeps scarf from slipping in the front), arm sleeves (kinda like an extended t-shirt for your arms, minus the shirt bit) a hanger for the scarves (pretty much self explanatory, iamrite? :D) too. There are also different kinds of scarves such as the one and two piece amira, square and oblong. This site has a lot to choose from such as plain, patterns and glitter scarves. They are decorative but not overly done.

Right now they are having a “30 for 30” deal where if you spend over 30 dollars you can put a discount code in to get 30% off your order. Certainly worth a look-see if you are a hijabi or just like scarves in general.

But enough chit-chat, let’s get to the pictures! I didn’t wear these I only took pictures of the scarves. I’ll leave a link under the pictures that will take you directly to the site. 😉

DSCN1098.JPG

This is a super soft, super light scarf. It has little bits of glitter in it to give your look a little bit of oomph. You can find this here: Blue Confetti Wrap

DSCN1099.JPG

This is the scarf out of the package. It may look lighter due to the lights that I was using to take the picture.

DSCN1100.JPG

This is a red one in the same style. Red Confetti Wrap

DSCN1101.JPG

Beautiful color! 🙂

DSCN1102.JPG

Same style, different color. Green Confetti Wrap

DSCN1103

This kind of material is perfect for spring and summer days since it’s super light.

DSCN1104.JPG

This style is a bit different. Although it is still lightweight, it’s a little bit more on the plainer side, which is what I like. Brown Weightless Wonder Wrap

DSCN1105.JPG

Super thin material as you can see.

DSCN1106.JPG

Same style but in gray. When I bought this I got this in just a plain ol’ gray color. It seems that they don’t have any more of these but they do have light gray. Light Gray Weightless Wonder Wrap

DSCN1107.JPG

Very soft to the touch too.

DSCN1108.JPG

This is a reddish brown color. Fire Brick Weightless Wonder

DSCN1109.JPG

Beautiful color!

I left links to the different colored scarves but it might take you to the style of the scarf instead of the particular color. If it does you can choose from there, if you are inclined to do so.

The confetti wraps are 100% polyester and measure 175 x 80 cm (about 69 x 31 in). These should be hand washed only and then hung to dry.

The weightless wonders are also 100% polyester and measure 185 x 93 cm (about 72 x 36 in). You can wash these in the washer on light or delicate and hang to dry. Personally, I would wash any scarf by hand unless it is of a thick, durable material.

I reckin’ that’s all she wrote and by she, I mean me (of course). Come back next week for more interesting stuffs and topics.

Until next time! 😀

Shop Miss A Stuffs! (y’all already know;))

Hello and Salaam, homies!

I’m sure that by the title and the featured picture, you already know what time it is! It’s a Miss A haul, y’all (it rhymes, so it has to be good right?) 🙂

A little bit ago (like, 3 weeks ago) I ordered some stuffs and I’m finally getting around to showing y’all what I got, you know, just to give you some insight of the things that they have at the site.

In case you didn’t know, Shop Miss A is a site where everything is only $1. Yeah, I know, that’s crazy. They have a whole lot of stuff that you can throw into your cart without feeling guilty about overspending. And if you manage to throw 30 items into your cart, you get free shipping! Now, I know my ladies from overseas are curious if they ship to their country and as far as I know they ship to Canada, Australia and Brazil but I encourage you to double check yourself to make sure.

Aight, let’s get into the stuffs!

DSCN1055.JPG

They have a bunch of different face masks to pick from and I thought that these would be nice, since I’m so old (notice the collagen ones). >_<

DSCN1056.JPG

I also picked up these head pieces cuz ya know that ya girl needs some bling in her life! 😉

DSCN1057.JPG

THIS piece right here! It’s actually kinda heavy which is surprising but let’s take a look inside shall we? NEXT!

DSCN1058.JPG

This is what the inside of that Alpha Girl palette looks like. You got your shadows, your brow powders and an applicator. That’s a lot for $1! 😀 There is also a mirror.

DSCN1059.JPG

These are the lippies that I picked. I did do swatches but I did them on a video…I think. The first one is super light and has a bit of color but not too much. The next 2 are cuh-raazy matte! Like, I did some swatches and I literally could not get these off my hand. Make sure to wear a chapstick of some sort underneath these cuz, dang! The 4th one is a nude lipppe (ya girl loves some nude lippies!) by Amuse. Smooth and beautiful shade. Make sure to accompany that with a brown lip liner if you are on the deeper side of the skin tone area. The avocado lippie is just a simple lip gloss that can be paired with lipstick or you can wear alone. Lastly is a dark lippie from L.A. Colors (obv). Just a deep dark color that is a little bit sheer. (Scroll down for swatches and names. The matte lippies don’t have a name on them).

DSCN1060.JPG

These 3 pieces are cute lil’ doodads that saw and liked. The pink crown is a dust plug for a cell phone or tablet and the 2 other pieces are faux ear plugs.

DSCN1062.JPG

I thought that these eyeshadow palettes were too cute! I love the little bow tie one. ^_^

DSCN1063.JPG

These are very pigmented and smooth eyeshadows. I’m especially love that orangy side on the bow tie palette. That one comes with an applicator as well.

DSCN1064.JPG

Next are these sunglasses! Ya girl needs some shade for her face cuz that sun be ALL up in it! They have a lot of different ones to pick from too. >_<

DSCN1065.JPG

These are obvious. They are hair elastics or ponytail holders, whatever you want to call them. That’s a lot for $1.

DSCN1066.JPG

I really like the kleancolor brushes, especially this one. Perfect for applying a winged gel eye liner.

DSCN1067.JPG

I did buy some eye liners and pencils but I don’t have a picture of them (go figure) but I do however, have some swatches. The very top is a dark brown by Princessa, the 2nd one is golden bronze also by Princessa. The 3rd one down is an eyeliner in the color gray. I’m not sure who that one is from, didn’t say on the stick. The 4th one down is olive green. Next is pink. The pink one is a bit clumpy which makes me wonder if it’s old or that’s just the way it’s made. I think that I might add a few drops of Visine and maybe that might help make the liner a bit more smoother. After the pink one we have a blue color and the very last one is a creamy kajal eyeliner in a charcoal color. The gray, olive green and blue liners dry super fast.

DSCN1068.JPG

Okay y’all, I did do a swatch of all the lippies…haha, I was playing. >_< The 1st one is by L.A. Colors and that is called “Matte Fudge”. Again beautiful deep, dark color. Next swatch is by Amuse and that is called “Latte”. Gorgeous, creamy nude lipstick. The 3rd swatch down is by Starry and is the avocado oil lippie. It’s a bit sheer because it’s a moisturizing lip gloss. The 4th one down is the Kleancolor lipstick. That’s the one that I mentioned before that has a little bit of color but is sheer at the same time. The last 2 are by Santee and it’s a long lasting matte liquid lipstick. Seriously, this stuff will last and last and last. Make sure that you pull out your moisturizing chapstick before applying these 2. Trust me!

If you made is this far, you made it to the end. Oh, I know, it’s a sad thing but I promise to come back next week to bring you some more interesting stuffs. That is if you are interested in reading it. Also, make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for weekly videos! And if you are still looking for more, be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram (@cynnbadd27). I gots a Facebook page too. If you wanna give that a like, do it up!

Until next time! 😉

Shop Miss A Haul

Hello and Salaams! If you couldn’t already tell, I have for you the reader, a peek at the Shop Miss A haul that I was talking about last week. And again, if you don’t know, everything there is 1 dollar excluding some of the charms which are 5 dollars or lower. This month they are having a promo of free shipping with orders over 30 dollars. The shipping isn’t too much, it’s only 3.95 here in the U.S and I believe 5.95 for international but don’t quote me on that one.

Down below are a whole bunch of pictures that I had taken of the swatches of the eyeshadows, lip liners, eyeliners, lippies, all of that. So, if you’re interested, keep scrolling and have a look-see! 🙂

DSCN0740.JPG

This is there oh-so-obvious orange shipping bag. They ship via U.S.P.S and you also get a tracking number for your package.

DSCN0749.JPG

Here is a group shot of everything that I ordered. I absolutely LOVE that “BOSS” beenie! ^_^

DSCN0741

A simple black beenie with rhinestone on it. Super cute!

DSCN0746.JPG

These are eyeshadow pencils that are by Santee. They didn’t give and name or a specific color, just numbers.

DSCN0752.JPG

I did a couple swatches and took the picture with a flash so that you could see it better. The blue one kinda reminds me of a Periwinkle color and the other color is more like a Nude. Both go on super smooth.

DSCN0747.JPG

This is by Malibu Glitz and the name of this one is “Wakiki Pearl”. It’s a beautiful white with a bit of glitter in it.

DSCN0777.JPG

“Wakiki Pearl” without a flash…

DSCN0778.JPG

…”Wakiki Pearl” with flash.

DSCN0744.JPG

These are all the Klean Color items. The very top are liquid eyeliners with their own auto eyeliner build in. A duo if you will. Below that are the jumbo eyeshadow sticks. Under that are the cream shadows. The stick below the cream shadows is a lip liner. To the top right is a hydrating lippie and the last 4 are just plain ‘ol lipsticks.

DSCN0770.JPG

These are the Klean Color eyeshadow cream pots. They glide on beautifully, have a a shimmer to them and are quite creamy which makes for an easy application.

DSCN0769.JPG

The colors go from left to right, “Turquoise”, “Fuchsia”, “Thunder”, “Lilac” and “Skyline”.

DSCN0772.JPG

Here we have the Klean Color jumbo eyeshadow stick. These colors are super pigmented and bright. Especially perfect if you are trying to make a bold statement.

DSCN0771.JPG

The colors are as listed from left to right: “Frosted Ruby”, “Citron”, “Fuchsia Kiss” and “Fire Glow”. I like Fire Glow the best out of the bunch.

DSCN0775.JPG

Klean Color lip pencil. This particular on come with a pencil sharpener.

DSCN0776.JPG

With a flash you can see it better. Also this is the color “Champagne”.

DSCN0774.JPG

I really like these items. They are liquid eyeliners with an auto eyeliner. Make sense? On one side there is the liquid part and the other side (handle) has the eyeliner pencil part that you can twist up and down.

DSCN0773.JPG

The colors for these are (from left to right in pairs) are “Gold”, “Teal” and “Green-Vibe”. The Teal eyeliner has a felt tip while the other two have more a brush type tip. These are a great idea except the pencil bit breaks too easily which means that you may not have the chance to use it or it will break while in use.

DSCN0761.JPG

The plain ‘ol lippies that I was talking about earlier.

DSCN0762.JPG

You can really see the vibrancy better with the flash on. These go on super smooth, they’re nice and creamy and smell good too. Shades are (from top to bottom) “Coco Malt”, “Natural”, “Earth” and “Holiday Red”.

DSCN0768.JPG

This one is a winner! It adds the perfect amount of color to your lips without being over bearing and has a gold shimmer to it.

DSCN0767.JPG

This hydrating lippie is in the color “Copper Red”.

DSCN0745.JPG

Elf quads. Very nice for a more casual look.

DSCN0782

With a flash, this quad is called “Butternut”. For my skin tone, this will make a super chill look without over doing it.

DSCN0781

“Butternut” quad with out the flash. You can barely see it.

DSCN0780

This quad is called “Pretty In Pink” and that is a very fitting title. Soft colors make for a soft and easy-to-do look.

DSCN0779

“Pretty In Pink” without the flash.

DSCN0743.JPG

L.A. Colors has really stepped up their makeup game since I was in high school (over 10 years ago, *cough cough*). 😉

DSCN0766

This is a lipstick that I bought before but in a different shade. There are 3 different colors in 1 stick, so a 3-in-1 lippe.

DSCN0764

No flash. This is the color “Third Time’s A Charm”. Love the idea of getting 3 in 1 stick.

DSCN0760

When it comes to L.A. Colors eyeshadows, I remember not being very pigmented or maybe I was just to dark, idk. But I’m impressed with the improvement that this company has made in their products. This by the way is the eyeshadow palette that was shown above.

DSCN0759

And the palette without the flash. This comes in the color “Orchid”.

DSCN0755

And lastly we have the the lip liners. I always liked L.A. Colors lip liners as they are good quality for the low price. Going from top to bottom we have the colors “Chocolate”, “Hazelnut”, “Coper Bronze” and “Nude” which totally proves itself considering you can barely see “Nude” on my hand, haha. PERFECT!

That’s it! I hope that you have enjoyed this extremely long blog post! Again, if you haven’t tried out Shop Miss A, give it a try, you may like it.

Stay tuned for next weeks post of Novembers Boxy Charm! 🙂

September’s Boxy Charm

Hay ya’ll!

This time I have something new to share and hope that you will find it interesting and useful as well. For “show ‘n tell” I have my very first Boxy Charm (totally geeked)! The box itself isn’t very big BUT it’s full of surprises. This particular box is $21 dollars a month and you get 4 to 5 full sized items, which isn’t bad for the price. This months box for me was 4 full sized items and 1 bonus item. You also get to accumulate something called Charms that you can use for free shipping, 10, 20 or 30 dollars off your next shop purchase according to how many Charms you have. 🙂

There is no wait list so you don’t have to wait around trying to get others to join or posting to several different things to different sites. Once you’ve joined you will receive an email regarding the new subscription. From what I understand this box doesn’t have quizzes that you can take to make the box more personal for you. Everyone gets just about the same thing so there isn’t much complaining about “I don’t like this item” or “can I trade this for that” or ” I don’t like my bag/box”, which is also nice. They have a Facebook page –> (https://www.facebook.com/Boxycharm) and also an Instagram (@boxycharm) where you can express your joys or concerns and share you pictures. Here is a direct link to their site in case you might be interested!: http://www.boxycharm.com/

Talky, talky. Too much talky. To the pictures! Leh-go ^_^

Boxy charm comes in the standard USPS mail. Once your box has been shipped you’ll get an email and tracking number. What’s also great is that if you were to sign up in the middle of September, you will be charged for Septembers box and it will be sent out to you.

This is what the box looks like

I've never tried nail wraps before. Usually when I want my nails to look decent, I paint them some crazy color. These come in with the value of $12 and are full size.

Hmm, I guess that’s it then. With this being my first box from Boxy Charm I have to say that I’m pretty dang please with what I got. Everything that I received will be used and nothing will be wasted or given away. When I had other subscription boxes/bags, I would take their personalized quizzes and still get items that I couldn’t use or didn’t like. :/ Hopefully, with Boxy Charm, I’ll be able to use whatever they send my way. ^_^

Well folks, that’s it! I hope that you have found this informative in one way or another. Don’t forget to check out there sight if you’re interested! https://www.boxycharm.com/ 🙂

Not For Only One Crowd

This is your girl coming back at you with just a really quick, really super duper fast post. I wanted to be clear and make sure that we are on the same page and in a way, we already are.

When I started this blog some four years ago I only had one targeted audience that I wanted to get through to and that was the female population of Muslims. At that time I was homeschooling my son (and still do) and wanted to share my ideas that we did together at home. In a sense I’m still trying to target that same audience but I wanted to make that audience bigger than that. I figured that I’d try to reach out to the female population as a whole. I’am and we are women, are we not?

This time around I didn’t want to cut out a huge chunk of women because they are not Muslim. My blog and my posts are meant to be helpful to all females from all walks of life. I want to share my ideas, likes, dislikes, experiences and whatever else with the ladies of the interweb.

**Now, (black lady finger waving time, haha) if you aren’t a Muslim female and like my content, that’s great! That’s what I’m going for. If you aren’t a Muslim female and don’t like my content, that’s great too! If you don’t like that I wear hijab or pray to Allah, that’s fine. You don’t have to. You don’t have to like everything that I like or dislike. I just ask that you try to remain positive in your comments if you make any.

*If you are a Muslim female and like my content, that’s great as well! If you are a Muslim female and don’t like my content, that’s also great! As I said before, you don’t have to like what I like. But with both of us being Muslim females, we both should practice the “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything”. Honestly, I have been looked down more from Muslim women than I have non-Muslim women. Sad, ain’t it? Some people are quick to give “advice” to someone without even knowing the whole situation. And some of those people are even faster to make themselves feel like they are in a higher place than the other because they gave that “critical” advice. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t advise people, not at all. What I’m saying is that if you don’t like that I post about this kind of makeup or that kind of high heels or this kind of fashion then I shouldn’t post about it at all.

***This blog is made out of my own likes and dislikes, experiences, up’s and down’s and is made to cater to all women regardless or race, religion, personal preference, whatever. I’m not trying to stick to one specific type of female but instead all women. If there is something that displeases you because of your personal tastes, know that it was something that was pleasing to me first and you don’t have to like, share or follow me.

Shoes For Less! ;)

Hey all! I wanted to bring you a very quick and simple post. This one might catch your eye if you are a fashionista looking to snag some super sweet deals. There is site call 10 dollar mall (http://www.10dollarmall.com/) where you can go to shop for less! YES! Finally a place where we shopaholics can go to find super cute items for a low price! Everything there is 9.99 or lower. Too good to be true? Nah, your girl got you, remember? These people have thought of everything! There are so many items to pick from that it’ll make you wish that you can buy everything you look at (no shade for those who can 😉 ). The shipping is very fast depending on what you pick. Every time that I placed an order, I chose expedited and I have received my items that following week via USPS. They also give a tracking number for those that are curious where their items are.

From my own experience the items that I bought have been of good, decent quality and came quickly. The material holds up well in the washer and dryer and can be worn multiple times. I know that some places that have low prices have cheap Halloween type material. No worries, this place is legit and is even a Google Trusted Store. If you are hesitant, do some research and read reviews before you decide to make a purchase.

One of my favorite things to just drool over are the shoes (http://www.10dollarmall.com/list/cheap-womens-shoes-and-boots). There are so many different ones to pick from, wedges, platforms, heel, sneakers, boots and sandals. They also have clothes from extra small to 3x, cute accessories, purses, jewelry and even items for your boo and kids, if you have any.

I thought that this would be a nice introduction to the site in case you haven’t heard about it before. Below are the heels that I bought from there. The thing about this place though it that once something is gone, it’s gone so if you like it, act fast!

The tan heel are 4 inches tall and have a pearl accent on the front. They also have a strap that goes across the ankle. The black ones are almost the same as the tan one with a 4 inch heel and strap but the accent is a rhinestone encrusted one. And finally (my fav) are a 1 inch platform and 5 inch heel. Garnet suede gives it its color.
